“The Heros” speak about the Hahamongna Wetlands/Watershed

This is a clip from the portion of the Pasadena City Council Meeting, dated July 12, 2010, PUBLIC COMMENT on Item 11 of the Agenda.

The speakers waited more than THREE hours to speak. It is mind numbing what they had to sit through. Yet, these determined and wonderful advocates for the natural environment were extremely patient. Please weight their comments proportional with the amount of their inconvenience, then multiply that by 1k. That is the minimum number of hours these neighbors spent cogitating on what they were going to say….    on this long, long night (6:30pm to Midnight). Barfing and schvitzing for you!

No more money spent in development on Hahamongna should be clear.

The City of Pasadena is about to take an action that will bring about an environmental charge that they have no idea nor the resources to address. The charge of  ”unconscionable negligence” under civil liability, Environmental Law is about to come into play. No statute applies herein. There seems to be plenty of documented proof that the Pasadena City Council should have established permanent protections for Hahamongna—LONG AGO.

Do I need to show you clips from the rest of this convoluted meeting that took more than 6 hours, last YEAR?

I will. I have them all nicely labeled and indexed for our viewing pleasure, on a Cloud (BTW) so, don’t think just by confiscating a computer it’ll be gone. No, no-no. I’m a TechnoGoddess. You, are out-teched.

In addition to this meeting, I might add, there are several wonderful clips of times that the City Council has discussed Hahamongna without any Agenda item or public notice whatsoever. Ew, bad form.

I have a favorite clip of a time, most recent, when the Pasadena City Council did agendize an Update To The Master Plan (I think this was supposed to be the official follow-up to the meeting of July 12, 2010). That one, is particularly interesting! Would you like to see it?

Of course, there is no drawing one could submit as a plan for Hahamongna. Nature has already drawn it.

You have the right to speak up, whether or not you are a resident of Pasadena. You are a member of the Public, aren’t you?

Poor Councilman Gordo has amnesia about the development of a “multi-purpose” athletic field he is currently in favor of in Hahamongna. Aw, poo.

Not knowing illustrates why Pasadena needs PERMANENT PROTECTION FOR HAHAMONGNA.
